At Ducati’s headquarter in Borgo Panigale they shaped the aesthetics of African queen by Lucky Explorer with the beauty of desmo engine; the result is a motorcycle model born for off-road as its natural environment, while behaving very smoothly and safely also for daily commuters. In other words, Desert X 950 is reliable, solid, and functional at the same time.
Testastretta 11° engine is perfectly fitted under the bike’s aggressive fairings: it is Euro5, liquid-cooled, twin-cylinder delivering 111 hp and a maximum torque of 92 Nm at 6,500 rpm.

A significant performance increase can be fully appreciated starting from 3000 and all the way up to 6000 rpm, with the engine becoming more reactive at full throttle.
